Team MER Captures Two Top Fives at Mazda Raceway |
Team MER came out of round two of the Playboy MX-5 Cup with two top fives and three top tens. Marc Miller lead the charge with a very close second place finish which also extended his championship points lead to 18 points. Zach Ply also put in a fantastic drive bring his Mazda MX-5 home to his first career top five, finishing 5th and Jeff Mosing rebounded from a tough start at round one to come home 7th.

Team MER Scores 1-2 Finish At Mazda MX-5 Cup Opener |
Team MER driver, Marc Miller, won Round One of the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup, part of the Classic Motorsports Magazine Walter Mitty Challenge at Road Atlanta. Mark Jenkins (Team MER/JBR) finished second to give the defending Mazda MX-5 Cup Champions a 1-2 finish to start off the season while also placing five cars in the top-8 positions.

In his series debut, Marc Miller, of Holland, Mich., won Round One of the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup, part of the Classic Motorsports Magazine Walter Mitty Challenge at Road Atlanta. Mark Jenkins, of Fairview, Texas, finished second, followed by Justin Piscitell, of Patterson, N.Y.

Rhoades Tops Miller for Fastest MX-5 Cup Practice Time at Road Atlanta |
Chris Rhoades, of Dallas, Texas, edged out teammate Marc Miller, of Holland, Mich, for the fastest practice time of the day by 0.18-second, in preparation for Round One of the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup, part of the Classic Motorsports Magazine Walter Mitty Challenge at Road Atlanta. Ara Malkhassian, of Sonoma, Calif., completed the top three.

Completing the top three were Brett Smrz, of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, and Harrison Williams, of Houston, Texas.
